about us

Clinic Director, Amanda Jones is a qualified and registered Osteopath.

'I love what I do, hunting down the cause of the pain and working with gentle techniques to take the pain away and/or improve movement, I get joy seeing patients go out of the clinic with a new lease of life... enabling them to get back to what they love doing with a new sense of purpose.'

Over the years, through word of mouth I have ended up treating many patients who have been written off as nothing that can be done and just given loads of pain relief to get by, these patients have changed their whole life to adapt to living with pain..., you don't just have to put up with it!  The very least I can offer you is an understanding of your pain, some pain relief and improved movement, best case scenario is that I manage to get rid of your pain and you get your life back! you have my word I will always be honest and do my best for you at all times.

Through additional training, I have now added a cranial approach to my suite of techniques to use. Over the years I've had numerous injuries myself, Neck, Back, Ankle, Shoulder, Elbow... this is what you get when you throw yourself out of a plane for a hobby.  I understand pain and debilitation and what its like to be treated, this guides me in my approach to patients and also my techniques.

You will be listened to and taken care of as if you are one of my loved ones.  I will protect your modesty at all times.

Osteopathic training takes 5 years to complete and  includes over 1500 hours in a clinic environment treating many patients of all walks of life and ages with varying conditions. I have received in-depth training on how the body works in sickness and health, how to diagnose and treat biomechanical complaints and identify systemic disease. This in-depth training and experience enables me to safely and successfully treat patients of all ages with biomechanical and musculoskeletal complaints - treatment will be given using a mixture of osteopathic techniques that are tailored to meet the needs of each individual patient. The extensive training and knowledge gained on systemic disease and pathophysiology helps me identify other factors involved in patients' conditions and when to refer on to other health care practitioners.

I have competed at a national level within the sport of skydiving and in my younger years as a competitive swimmer. I understand the stresses and strains that day to day life, occupation and sports place on the body and how to develop a treatment plan tailored to the individual to help reduce pain and enable them to return to normal function as quick as possible.

A personal note from Amanda...

My aims are to:

  • Create a professional and friendly environment where you feel that you are listened to, taken seriously and treated with the utmost respect at all times.
  • I am very passionate about returning you or your child back to health as quickly as possible by treating the underlying cause and maintaining factors not just the symptoms.
